Glimpses of Annapolis
Last Wednesday, while I was on Spring break in Maryland, Aunt Karrie's sweet friend Londa and Londa's son Josh took me to Annapolis. I got a personal tour of St. John's College, a stop at the Naval Academy, and a walk around the inner harbor area. The weather was wonderful, and the inner harbor area is beautiful! These are pictures of the historic houses we walked by.
My goal is to find a way to unite journalism with fighting human trafficking, and to live missionally. That's harder than it sounds! But God has blessed me richly and provided everything I need for life and godliness.
I love my family, my friends, horses, singing, coffee, cooking, music, and books.
And, most of all, I want to be like Jesus.
Mushrooms! I'm like a hobbit. Mushrooms are my favorite.
Asics running shoes. I'm trying to be a runner.
French manicures. They're so classy! But seriously, make me stop trying to do my own.
Wedgewood dishes. I got an eleven-piece assortment of matching vintage plates, bowls, and mugs the other day- in blue and white!- and ever since then I've wanted more.
Horse Noses. Must I explain, really? I especially miss them when I'm gone.
Cappuccinos. Ever since I discovered cappuccinos with meals, I can't help myself.
Books i'm Reading Now
Real Christianity, by William Wilberforce. His only book, a defense of the abolitionist movement; and a defense of real, radical, missional faith.
Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh. I might always be reading it, it's so good. I love anti-modernists.
How's Moving Castle. I know I maybe should branch out, since I've read this three times. But it's too funny.
Peter Pan, by James Barrie- it's so good! And not even a childrens' book.
Total Church- need to get my own copy, since I picked up Joey's copy in Holland and don't have my own!
